Since 2019, I’ve been on a journey to capture the soul of old Shanghai—its streets, people, and the everyday lives that pulse through its aging neighborhoods. From the bustling wet markets to the quiet moments of street cleaners and workers, I’ve witnessed and documented stories that often go unnoticed. These photos tell of the old lanes that remain, the fading homes being replaced by the new, and the people who breathe life into these spaces, holding on to traditions while embracing change.
With each click of the camera, I aim to preserve a piece of Shanghai’s history—its transformation, resilience, and the stories that can be found in the smallest moments. This collection is a tribute to the old and the new, to the forgotten and the celebrated, capturing the timeless beauty of a city in transition.
